TFI donates 300 kg of PET bottles under “WeCYCLE” project by WHA

This year until May 2023, Toyo Filling International Company has donated the total of 300 kilograms of PET bottles under the project “WeCYCLE” by WHA industrial estate, which helps reduce the Greenhouse Gas up to 696 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent (kgCO2e). The donated PET bottles will be upcycled to produce bags for students further. WHA, under the project “WHA Clean Water for Planet” in collaboration with GC (PTT Global Chemical) and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, has invited the entrepreneurs in WHA Industrial Estates, local government agencies and schools to join to project called “WeCYCLE” which accept PET bottles donation. Later, the donated PET bottles from “WeCYCLE” will be upcycled with water hyacinth fibers from Constructed Wetlands Project in WHA Industrial Estates to produce bags for students along with other products. Toyo Filling International Company had joined the “WeCYCLE” project in 2022 with the total of 109.10 kilograms of PET bottles donated which resulted the Greenhouse Gas reduction of 253.112 kgCO2e. This year 2023, our company has continued joining the project with the result of 300 kilograms of PET bottles in total donated until now (May 2023) including 90 kilograms in February, 69 kilograms in March, 70 kilograms in April, and 71 kilograms in May. According to PTT Global Chemical, 1 kilograms of PET bottles can help reduce about 2.32 kgCO2e of Greenhouse Gas, thus our company could reduce up to 696 kgCO2e of Greenhouse Gas in the first five months of the year 2023. From now on, Toyo Filling International Company will continue to donate PET bottles under the “WeCYCLE” project aims to help reduce wastes from plastic in communities by recycle into bags and other products, and also help reduce more Greenhouse Gas in the future.
